Most of our projects are single-room renovations for owner-occupied homes: a dated bathroom taken back to studs, an unfinished basement turned into living space, a foyer and stairwell rebuilt to change the first impression of the house. Work areas are protected and cleaned daily. You get a single point of contact for questions and changes for the length of the project.

We walk the finished space with you and correct anything on the punch list before we consider the job closed.
Remodeling questions homeowners ask

Usually, yes. In Massachusetts, building permits are generally required when a project changes structure, adds or relocates plumbing or electrical, or finishes previously unfinished space such as a basement. Plumbing and electrical work carry their own permits and must be done by licensed trades. Cosmetic work — paint, trim replacement, refinishing cabinets — typically does not require one. We tell you which permits your project needs during the estimate and pull them as part of the job.

A straightforward full bathroom remodel that keeps the existing layout typically runs about two to three weeks of on-site work. Moving plumbing, changing the footprint, or waiting on special-order tile or fixtures extends that. Basement finishing is usually three to six weeks depending on square footage. We give you a project-specific schedule in writing with your estimate rather than a generic range.

For single-room projects, yes — most of our clients do. We contain dust, protect floors and walkways on the route to the work area, and clean up at the end of each day. If your home has only one bathroom and that bathroom is the project, we will tell you up front how many days it will be out of service so you can plan.
